Scottsdale, AZ –Recognizing their customer base focuses on a quality assurance program that is customer service-based with product processes and procedural documentation, Digital Systems Engineering (DSE), of Scottsdale, Arizona proactively developed their AS9100 standard-based Quality Management System (QMS). Through Great Western Registrar of Phoenix, Arizona, DSE received their ISO9001:2000/ AS9100 (Rev. B) Certificate of Registration on October 11, 2007.
All major aerospace manufacturers and suppliers worldwide are beginning to command compliance and/ or registration to AS9100 as a condition of doing business. Within AS9100, additions and clarifications have been made to most areas of an existing quality system standard known as ISO 9001:2000.
In designing their QMS around the AS9100, DSE can now monitor its policies, processes and procedures required for planning and execution (production / development / service) in their core business area. A robust QMS integrates DSE’s various internal processes with the intention of providing a process approach for product execution. By following the AS9100 standard in developing their QMS, DSE is enabled to identify, measure, control and improve its various core business processes that will ultimately lead to improved business and product performance, and customer satisfaction.
AS9100 is an aerospace QMS standard introduced by the Society of Automotive Engineers in the Americas and the European Association of Aerospace Industries in Europe in October 1999. |
