Scottsdale, AZ- Digital Systems Engineering (DSE) announces
the addition of the 15” LCD flat panel display to
their specialized mobile All-Weather Monitor (AWM) product
line. With the new
15” display, four standard sizes are available:
8.4”, 10.4”, 12.1” and 15”.
The AWM monitors are designed to operate under unusually
harsh and taxing environments. These durable flat panel
displays support a variety of professional field applications
including but not limited to: avionics, heavy equipment, logistics, military, pharmaceuticals, public safety and service
utilities.
DSE’s four unique AWM display product series support
multiple video technologies. The “AWMR” Series is associated
with computer VGA; the “AWMV” supports Composite
and S-Video; the “AWMVR” offers viewability for VGA,
Composite and S-Video.
The fourth series, the “AWML”, supports VGA and LVDS –
Low Voltage Differential Signaling, which is a unique video
technology for applications demanding longer-than-standard
cable distance between the computer and the monitor.
This “L” series is specifically engineered to connect with DSE's small-footprint rugged commercial personal computer,
the Vehicle-Mount Computer (VMC).
These rugged mobile LCD displays are optically engineered,
bright sunlight-readable (5-800 nits), dimmable and are NVIS Compliant (MIL-STD-3009 certified) with an
optional filter. Touch screen technology is also available.
The slim-profile AWM displays are built to industrial and
military standards, surpassing predefined specifications for
electronic display products engineered to operate under
environmental stress created by changing temperatures,
inclement weather, and shock and vibration.
All AWMs are sealed against dust and water penetration,
adhering to NEMA 6 and IP67 standards for enclosures.
When conditions demand, an optional preheat mode brings
the monitor up from a low of -40°C up to its operational
temperature.
These DSE-engineered rugged mobile monitors and DSE’s Vehicle-Mount Computers (VMC) may also be powered
from an AC power adapter.
