DSE Releases New Website |
 |
Scottsdale, AZ; – Digital Systems Engineering (DSE), a world-wide leading supplier of mobile computing solutions for extreme environments, announces the release of its updated web site, www.digitalsys.com.
Digitalsys.com features DSE’s ruggedized All-Weather LCD Monitors (AWM) and shock-and-vibration resistant Vehicle Mount Computers (VMC), products engineered by professionals for professionals who require ruggedized computers and monitors to withstand unusually physically taxing work environments. The web site reflects the adverse environment endurance engineered into DSE’s mobile computer systems.
On the DSE home page left menu bar, industry icons link the web site visitor to a designated subject matter page for that particular industry. Here, industry-specific field applications are listed with page links to route the visitor to the DSE products identified to best support those business applications.
Across the top of the DSE home page are the general division menu tabs. The Products tab links to DSE’s product lines: Sealed Monitors (AWM), Rugged Computers (VMC) and, when a customer requires a custom engineered solution, OEM Services. Within the Products web site pages are links to product specification sheets for the AWM, VMC and a hermetically-sealed hard drive, specifically engineered for data storage requirements in high altitude and variable pressure environments. There are also links to product specification sheets, mount diagrams and user manuals.
The AWM web site pages are packed with informative data on DSE’s unique All-Weather Monitors. These rugged LCD displays are environmentally-sealed against dust and water penetration, meeting NEMA 6P and IP 68 industry standards.
In the AWM product line, there are four LCD sunlight readable flat panel display series supporting a variety of video technologies: Composite, S-Video, VGA and LVDS – Low Voltage Differential Signaling, a unique technology recommended for installation situations demanding longer-than-standard cable (length) between the computer and the monitor. The LVDS is engineered to be paired with DSE’s Rugged Computer (VMC).
The Rugged Computer (VMC) web site pages feature the VMC, which is built to industry and military specifications - predefined standards for electronic products engineered to operate under environmental stress created by changing temperatures, shock and vibration. Like the AWM monitors, the Vehicle Mount Computer is also sealed against dust and water penetration and meets NEMA 3 and IP54 standards.
The VMC’s user-friendly Windows XP Professional operating system brings a traditional office-like setting to any commercial vehicle and provides an indirect means to boost field productivity. The robust VMC comfortably runs third-party applications and peripheral devices can be installed to the dual COM, USB (2.0) and Ethernet ports.
The OEM Services web site page expands on DSE’s offer to engineer an alternative design to incorporate customers’ needs into what was a DSE commercial-off-the-shelf product (COTS), or when necessary, design a new product altogether. The general Contact Us menu tab offers direct e-mail links to Sales, OEM Sales, Service and Technical Support, and the Webmaster.
Next, the Support Menu tab offers links to DSE’s Service and Support Downloadable Center: the RMA Form, Touch Screen Drivers, Product Installation Mount Diagrams, Product User Manuals, and FAQs, addressing customers’ Frequently Asked Questions. The Press Room tab offers client case studies, press releases and technical white papers.
Since 1995, DSE, a Scottsdale, Arizona-based engineering firm, has been designing and building field-proven COTS and OEM solutions for mobile computing concerns in many industry areas including but not limited to: aerospace, food processing, heavy equipment, logistics, military, pharmaceuticals, public safety and, service and utilities.
